Monthly Alumni Meeting - July 14, 2025

At the July chapter meeting Significant Sig and Chapter President Emeritus Brother Chuck Duvall (Alpha Phi, 1958) kept the room spellbound with his life’s story and how the Spirit of Sigma Chi played a significant part in making him the person he turned out to be. Rather than “bragging” on his illustrious career, most of his story revolved around how his faith and the Spirit of Sigma Chi led him to serve others. At the end of his presentation, he asked Secretary Emeritus Brother Ron Bradley (Beta Psi, 1960) to join him in presenting to President Frank Roach (Zeta Upsilon, 1972) a diamond studded badge that was given to Brother Duvall by his uncle Significant Sig and Order of Constantine Brother Ben Duvall (Kappa Kappa, 1924). The badge will be passed along to each succeeding President of the chapter.

Prior to Brother Duvall’s presentation, President Roach reported on his attendance at Grand Chapter with the biggest two news items being Sigma Chi’s pledging of an additional $31million to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the launch of an $84million capital campaign to support various undergraduate initiatives.

Future Alumni Chapter events were also discussed.
